IC Capture¹ 2.5 software by The Imaging Source Europe GmbH offers seamless support for their cameras equipped with high color depth, such as 10-bit and 12-bit pixel formats.

The high color depth per channel technology is crucial in video recording as it enhances the camera's ability to capture details in scenes with a high contrast of light and shadow. This is especially important in environments with challenging lighting conditions, such as backlit scenes, brightly lit outdoor areas, or interiors with sharp light variations.

We offer a specialized codec based on GoPro CineForm² technology that enables 12-bit color depth video recording while maintaining the high quality and dynamic range of the signals.

The recorded footage is optimized for compatibility with popular post-processing and editing tools, including DaVinci Resolve³, ensuring a smooth workflow for professional video editing and enhancement.

How to Use

• Have compatible camera connected, and codec from installed from Downloads section below installed
• Have IC Capture 2.5 software installed (note that you cannot use newer IC Capture 4.0 as this is an incomatible redesigned release with lack of support for AVI recording, with reduced interoperability with external components)
• Have codec from Downloads section below downloaded and installed
• Start IC Capture application (make sure to use 64-bit version of the application as the installer installs both)
• Select RGB64 format for video acquisition
• Have "AVI" format and "Alax.Info CFHD Encoder" codec selected
• Record video with up to 12-bit color depth in target AVI file, open for playback with Media Player Classic Home Cinema, DaVinci Resolve and other popular software

Free Trial and Registration

Before the installation is personalized (free trial), the codec embeds "DEMO CODEC" text overlay over the encoded video. A purchased lincense token removes the overlay.
